Cutting and shaping tiles gives you so much more flexibility in your design. Whether you're making a piece fit just right, creating curves, or adding detail to an image, learning how to safely and effectively cut your tiles opens up a whole new level of creativity. With the right tools and a bit of practice, you’ll be able to customise your tiles to suit any shape, space, or idea.

Wheeled Tile Cutters Vs Tile Nippers?

You will often see mosaic artists using either tile nippers, or wheeled tile cutters. But wihch should you use? It really comes down to personal preference. Over the years, I’ve found myself reaching for wheeled tile cutters more than traditional tile nippers. They give a much cleaner, more controlled cut, especially when working with curved shapes or delicate pieces. I love that you can glide through the tile rather than snapping it, which means less waste and more precision. For me, it just makes the process smoother and opens up more creative possibilities in the design.
